I am so sorry for the anguish your mother must have felt. i hope that over the years her suffering turned to pride & joy from her son who returned to health, personal vitality and continued service.
Damn. What a guy. One of THE good ones, with a great sense of humor to boot. Thank you for all your great service Mr. Dole.
